November 1st Recall / Inverse Seniority Layoffs

Good Afternoon,

As you are aware, CAMI has confirmed 1 shift of Production will be returning Monday November 1st.

At this point in time, there has been no confirmation of a second shift of Production returning, however that is subject to change.

As per the CBA (Article 11 – Layoff & Recall – pg. 43-45), HR has begun to rebuild a 1 Shift Manpower plan.

Due to the fact we still have a surpass of employees for a single shift of Production, Inverse Seniority Layoffs will again be offered.

HR & your EA will begin the process of offering Inverse Seniority Layoffs this upcoming Monday October 18th.

Please take some time this weekend to consider if you would like to accept an Inverse Seniority Layoff should the opportunity be presented to you.

If you know at this time that you would be interested in accepting an Inverse Layoff, should you be qualified, please email QSS_DG_HR_DEPT@magna.com and make us aware of this, it will help to speed up the recall process.

Please note that requesting an Inverse Layoff does NOT guarantee that you will be granted the layoff, you must qualify via your seniority.

Questions or concerns can be directed to HR or your EA.

Have a wonderful weekend!
